How to Unlock

Irrigation (Idea) can be unlocked by talking to Garrek after reaching the unlock requirements: Smelting Tools Station built & Spindle Whorl and Well researched.

Completion Requirements

Irrigation (Idea) can be completed after reaching prosperity 145,000  and having delivered Copper (10) and Tin (10) and Any Yarn (2) and Any Mushroom (1).

Rewards

Completing the idea rewards the Player with Irrigation Pump (1)
Irrigation Extender (1)
Irrigation Trench (6).

How To Make An Irrigation System

To start your Irrigation system, the field must be clear of all debris and the ground must be un-tilled. Start with placing the Irrigation Pump, it is the source of the water in your irrigation system. Make sure the spout of the Pump is pointed toward where you want your Irrigation Trench to be. The Trenches will connect from the Pump and carry water through up to 9 Trenches. An Irrigation Extender can connect to a Trench and will continue the water through up to 9 more Trenches.
The Irrigation Pump must be pumped once every day to send water through the connected Irrigation Trenches and Irrigation Extenders. This can be done directly by the Player or automatically with a Learning Station.

It is up to you how you will deign your Irrigation system for your fields. Here are some examples of an Irrigation system for the Farm Field 1:
