Small Update 1.0.14(1) - 01 July, 2023

Content
Fixes
  • Players could get soft locked when opening craft tools and bartering menus from dialogue.
  • Building placement UI had inconsistent button behavior with the mouse.
  • Choosing to be barefoot still showed character using shoes.
  • Mount could enter storage shed, but it couldn't exit.
  • Animal variant was not marked as known in the collections UI when using rare and legendary pinecones
  • Jizu's exchange was missing Smilodon Claws footwear.*

Big Update 1.0.13 - Quality of Life - 30 June, 2023

Feats

  • Jag is now romanceable.
  • Buildings placed by the players in the village can now be moved.
  • Change your character’s appearance by going to Jukk and later by exchanging for an obsidian mirror.
  • 50+ new decorations, floors, and fences that will be available as you progress in the game.
  • New farm building: Storage Shed. An empty space to decorate or use for processing.
  • Smilodon clothing and footwear to match the current hat.
  • An indicator in the NPCs lists to show if you’ve met all the conditions and can trigger a cutscene with them.
  • A button to auto-assign seasonal seeds to the radial. Tools and seeds assigned to the radial can also be removed now.
  • A blueprint for a new tool, the Magic Handaxe, is given after completing the caves.
  • The tree at the top of the pyramid will bear magical fruit after completing the main story.
  • Jungle field has a tutorial now after completing the main story.
  • After obtaining the water wheel and befriending Vuak, you’ll be able to crush gems to color fires.
  • Dance while at festivals.
  • Name storage boxes.
  • Animals that a ready for shearing/milking will show an emote when you’re nearby.
  • 5 new skin tones.
  • Added a “Grass Sprouts” craftable to regrow grass in the fields, available after researching animal taming.
  • The attune minigame can be canceled if no notes have been played, without consuming a charge.
  • Improved feedback in attune minigame when a note is not played on time.
  • Passing out inside your house will have you wake up there instead of in Igrork & Maeri’s.
  • Minimap can be moved by click+drag if using a mouse.
  • Move wall decorations instead of remove when expanding a player house or shed.
  • When placing/moving a building in the village, the area and any objects that need to be removed are highlighted.
  • Resulting quality is shown for items being processed in the processors menu.
  • Added lobby to start New Year’s festival in multiplayer.
  • Improved all translations: Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. (tutorial images will be updated in following patch)
  • Updated credits with community manager, localization team, community testers, and backers who recently filled out their surveys.

Changes

  • Jungle field won’t allow fertilizer to balance and prepare it for its future use.
  • Rebalanced items' contribution values to make processing more meaningful, especially in early-game and late-game stages.
  • When adding vinegar to a pickler, it’ll now let you pickle multiple things, from 1 to 5, depending on the value and quality of the vinegar used. The resulting quality of the pickled product depends only on the input, not the vinegar.
  • The quality of a product made in a cask will depend only on the quality of the main product and not the hardwood, herb, or mushroom.
    • Harvest, tree, and animal products: increased their processed value for every processor, especially the early ones (smoker, drier, and fermenter).
    • Fish: decreased the contribution value of the highest-tier fish, decreased dried fish processed items value, and increased smoked, fermented, and pickled fish.

Fixes

  • Duplicated wall items when upgrading house.
  • Water Wheel adding quality to items that should have no quality.
  • Can’t water tree in pyramid with a multi-tile water tool.
  • Voda 2 flower event not hiding objects.
  • Locating NPCs in the minimap when in a festival led to errors.
  • Mouse not working when selecting/choosing to upgrade a building.
  • Visual glitch when kissing an NPC doing an activity (like chopping wood).
  • Some animal variant icons not properly assigned or missing pixels.
  • Some text was not properly visible when using Noto Sans font.
  • Tags not showing for some medicinal herbs.
  • Picking up items when in a menu could make an item disappear in multiplayer.
  • Bartering menu opens for everyone after finishing Zelk’s idea in multiplayer.

  • Improved performance of tall grasses in the Savanna.

Fixes

  • Trading didn’t subtract more than 255 of the same item.
  • Prickly Pear didn’t look ready to harvest when domesticated.
  • Some tall grasses in the Savanna remained after cutting them.
  • Tag order was inconsistent between items.
  • Fences were invisible but still collidable in interactive cutscenes.
  • Torch buff not working when mounted.
  • Taming Steam Achievements used to count only currently tamed and not ever tamed.
  • Repeatable plants behaved like non-repeatable in the jungle
  • Ada’s sick animals quest finished before talking to her, making it impossible to craft medicines.
  • Some players were unable to water the in the last sand room.

Feats

  • Keyboard key bindings under “Settings → Gameplay → Keyboard Layout” option when playing with keyboard/mouse. Your key bindings are saved in a file named “keyboard-mapping.json” which can be shared outside the game.
  • Added a having children tutorial after the birth of your first child. It’s also available for players who already have children.
  • Romanceable NPCs are aware if either of you is in a Union when asking you to start dating in their 6 flower event.
  • If manually choosing a gamepad, the last selection is saved for future sessions.
  • If not using VSync, you can now select a target framerate.

Fixes

  • Issues targeting stone boxes and processors when there were too many objects around them.
  • Couldn’t use right-click in the fields to bring up the context actions for the player (Eat/Dance/Drop).
  • Dialogues mentioning newborns were not getting the right variables.
  • The last upgrade for the Animal Shed thatch roof didn’t change with the seasons.
  • Multiplayer clients got stuck in a black screen if they joined a game where a scheduled event had happened earlier that day, like a birth, pyramid rise etc.
  • Buffs not updating when just fully bonded. It required unequipping and equipping them back.
  • Southern field pathfinding errors caused animals not to go outside or cross fences.
  • Ores were sometimes not blocking a path in A Hearty Room,
  • Resources in the field now have square colliders to prevent getting stuck in between them.
  • The torch radius buff wasn’t working.
  • Wolf pack minimap location corrected.
  • Yakuans and Mograni were visible in a Union even when they were not involved in the ceremony.
  • Duplicated NPCs in Competition Day and Winter Festival.
  • Being able to pick honey infinite times.
  • Irrigation trenches couldn’t be removed if they ended up disconnected from a pump or extender.
  • Corner farm tile near the path to the beach was not interactable in Fall and Winter.
  • Tools that can hit multiple tiles were not being handled correctly for some objects, resulting in weird interactions, like kissing your partner after using a sickle.
  • Nursery seeds user interface placeholder information was shown at times.
  • Buffs UI visual and functional errors.
  • Myco fertilizer doesn’t remain in the soil if a plant is harvested in a valid season. It now only clears if out of season.
  • Some dialogue conditions.
  • Some schedule errors.
  • Some typos.

Notes

  • Translations for new features/fixes are a WIP. The new localization company is accommodating time for the weekly patches but will fully review them for their final delivery.

Small Update 1.0.10 - 12 May, 2023

  • A gamepad can be manually selected under Settings/Gameplay.
  • Firepits can now be placed inside.
  • Improved description for object placement.
  • Union Wreath blueprint is now always available to craft in a multiplayer session and changed description so it's more clear how to form Union between players.
  • Animal attune minigame now pauses the time in single player.
  • Added Backspace as an alternative button for actions like Delete save and Discard items in your inventory. This should take care of not having to press fn+Backspace in Mac.

Fixes

  • Improved overall performance, especially notable in end-game saves. We’ll keep working on optimizations.
  • 10 flower cutscenes were triggering even if not dating forcing players to reject the NPCs.
  • Era 10 flowers didn't trigger at the right moment.
  • Buildings in map not updating their location after being moved.
  • Trees destroyed immediately after placing close to the edges if not aligned to the grid.
  • Going out of bounds after dismounting an animal.
  • White bars on New Years festival if playing in widescreen monitors.
  • Wood Yield buff not yielding more wood than not using any buff.
  • Caves vines not being able to reach with tools if there was a rock or something around it.
  • Children not growing up if not named after 14 days.
  • Gifts you’ve given to NPCs were separated by quality instead of being grouped by type.
  • Starting cave challenges after 1:30 am was leading to errors, it’s no longer possible to do it.
  • Some animal synchronization issues in multiplayer related to the spawn/despawn of herds.
  • Waterwheel not showing in multiplayer for other players when joining a game in progress.
  • Passout cutscene leading to errors in saving in multiplayer if one player stayed up in a UI or minigame for too long.
  • Monkey challenge music not synced in multiplayer.
  • Legendary and Epic animals stats were lowers than what they should be.
  • Legendary and Epic not spawning on the days they should.
  • Plant discovery Steam achivements not triggering correctly. (Make Igrork Proud, Make Ada Proud and Make The Clan Proud)

Small Update 1.0.9 - 5 May, 2023

Feats

  • Added an experimental setting to set the duration of a day to one of 3 options: 15 minutes (recommended), 17.5 minutes (long), and 20 mins (longest). You need to choose it before you start/load a game, the setting is found in the Main Menu under Settings/Gameplay.
  • Added generic gamepad support. This should take care of the issues some players are having with controllers not being detected.

Fixes

  • Random game crash/hang. It happened with more frequency in late games but also impacted the early stages of the game.
  • Waterwheel not controlling if storage was full to start/end production.
  • All seeds available in the nursery, even if not discovered, after unlocking the field in the jungle.
  • Golden pomegranate resetting animal friendship instead of maxing it.
  • Pausing the game with P could lead to time errors and exploits. It’s no longer possible to fully pause with P while in any UI.
  • Some NPCs were going to a rock near the central fire to start their “work” tasks while their buildings were being built.
  • Nearby irrigation systems would lock others when watered and prevented draining/pumping.
  • Placing the waterwheel was checking for nearby objects and could soft-lock players.
  • A recipe couldn’t be obtained after the conditions were met. Arroz Con Leche is now correctly given by the Yakuans.
  • Strange behavior when adding to a stack of items in the belts/storage boxes.
  • Item duplication in multiplayer when removing items in processors that need multiple items, such as casks and picklers.
  • Can’t remove small things placed in the wall behind the bed.
  • Wall decorations layered over some objects like the Pacha Statue in the last house upgrade.
  • Cat Pot limited drawable area.
  • Depending on the day, ores in the first sand room make it impossible to reach the torch.
  • NPC schedule errors and overlaps.
  • Typos and dialogue conditions.

Notes

  • If you're using an original console controller (Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Switch Pro), we recommend you to "Disable Steam Input." You can do this in Steam by right-clicking the game-> Properties->Controller.

  • New smoke signal should trigger the first time a player adds an item to an already full inventory hinting that Jizu has more belts.

Fixes

  • Not able to order obsidian tools if the tool station is being upgraded.
  • Object placement flickering in some resolutions.
  • Most common places players were getting stuck (we’re evaluating adding an “unstuck button” in a future update).
  • Animal racing can’t be started when it coincides with another event. Plus it’ll now ask all players to talk to Jelrod to start it.
  • Zelk won’t trade seeds that aren’t yet accessible to the player.
  • Manage building action with Croll failed for buildings that were being built/upgraded.
  • Achievements for dishes and processed items were not triggering on new games.
  • Animal taming achievements didn't trigger immediately but until the next taming action.
