- Jelrod is known as the clan's musician, and his offering to Pacha at the Rite of Passage was a musical instrument he made.
- He feels uncomfortable when his sister Ibon copies him. Though he proclaims he is multi-talented and will take up a passion for other hobbies as well.
- He's supremely confident, and often saying things like, "It takes many-many push-ups to look this good." When given a loved gift, he says, "Simply the best. Like me."
- After the clan learns to domesticate animals, Jelrod adopts a guanaco as his mount. He claims, "Grob says Fasty is just an animal, but I'd do anything for that creature."
- According to his sister Ibon's 6 Flowers event, Jelrod's totem is the mammoth.
