The Animal Shed is unlocked after completing the Animal Taming idea with Croll.

The first small Animal Shed will be built for free with the completion of the idea and can be placed on either of the fields in the Land. Other small Animal Sheds can be purchased by Croll and be upgraded twice into a medium and large animal shed.

The Animal Shed takes up 6 spaces horizontally and 5 spaces vertically, these spaces must be clear or machines, large stumps or rocks, and crops. Small rocks, twigs, and weeds will be automatically cleared.

Small Shed build material: 500 Contribution, 30 Wood, and 20 Stone.

Medium Shed upgrade requirements: 3,000 Contribution, 30 Flint, 50 Plant Fiber.

Large Shed upgrade requirements: 12,000 Contribution, 50 Hardwood, 100 Stone.

A small shed can host 4 animals, a medium 7, and a large can hold 10. A medium shed includes a horn which instructs the animals to either roam about at their will or to stay inside. This is really helpful when you are trying to plant or water the field and the animals are in the way.

Once animals are fully befriended by flute they can be invited to live in any animal shed. Once in the shed the animals will produce milk, horns, fur, eggs, and feathers. To collect the milk and fur, a Milker and Blade Shears can be purchased from Acre once the animal shed is built. Horns, eggs, and feathers can be collected from the shed floor.

Female Ibexes produce Ibex Milk.

Male Ibexes produce Horns.

Wild Boars produce Boar Fur.

Guanacos produce Guanaco Fur.

Female Ostriches produce an Ostrich Egg.

Male Ostriches produce an Ostrich Feather.

Male Junglefowls produce Feathers.

Horses produce Manure.

To increase the friendship of animals kept in the animal shed they can be talked to every day and the flue can be used twice a week. They need to be fed. Once hungry they can be hand fed for extra experience points, but if they are left outside with access to grass they will feed themselves. They will stay inside on rainy days and grass doesn't grow in winter so feed must be provided. The Savannah still has grass in the winter which can be harvested as Plant Fiber and fed as-is or spun into hay bales with the Spindle Whorl.

Animals can be fed plant fiber, hay bales, and grain crops. Hay bales will provide more friendship than plant fiber, and feeding them grains (amaranth, buckwheat, corn, millet, oat, quinoa, or wheat) will give them more friendship than hay bales. Higher quality grains can be used for better friendship gains as well.

An animal with a friendship of at least 3 can be used as a mount, and once there is a male and female of the same species at 6 hearts they can be bred.

Breeding animals is used to increase animal stats.
